C. Crosby of Manitou Springs. The funeral was today in Espanola.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif'> It was Crosby who brought Cajata to Manitou Springs in 1907, when he reassembled a cliff dwelling in a canon here as a tourist attraction.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif'>Chief Manitou posed for pictures and became one of the most widely known Indians of the West. He also accompanied Colorado Springs business men on good will tours in his native clothes to the Atlantic Coast.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif'>Chief Manitou was blind for the last 10 years and lived in retirement in his native home in New Mexico.
