I was one of her doors’s students while I was attend the Colorado center for the blind. She was helping me with some academic issues at that time. I realize now they're having her as an instructor without me too I want to do many things and life since then that would not be possible without her assistance. Doris joined the NFB in the early 60’s and has been Curtis’s partner in the Federation all these years. She was an amazing teacher of blind children, and her work will live on forever. Her textbook on how to teach blind children is still used widely by all the various training programs. Doris leaves behind so many contributions to our movement that it is impossible to capture all of them.
