<strong class="">El Paso and Teller Counties</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>— CO 115 is a vital commuter route linking Canon City, Florence, Penrose and Pueblo West to not only Colorado Springs, but also the area's Military bases. CDOT
is planning safety and capacity improvements for the CO 115 corridor between Mile Point 27.7 and 39. The improvement project will include major rehabilitation or replacing aging pavement, Rock Creek Bridge replacement, adding passing lanes, adding a turn lane
for northbound Old Canon City Road and right turn deceleration lanes. The project will begin the design phase this year and is planned to start construction in 2022. If you would like to learn more about these planned improvements, provide input and ask questions

System-Whole Safety</a><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>program has one simple mission — to get everyone home safely. Our approximately 3,000 employees work tirelessly to reduce the rate and severity of crashes and improve the safety of all modes
of transportation. The department manages more than 23,000 lane miles of highway, more than 3,000 bridges and 35 mountain passes. CDOT also manages grant partnerships with a range of agencies, including metropolitan planning organizations, local governments
