The fact that most of us haven’t heard about this problem until yesterday indicates how little the app is used within the blind community.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The software vendor for this app is headquartered in Europe. This company has historically generated all of the apps that we have used, successfully, from RTD. The fact that this problem surfaced at all is an embarrassing testament to how well (or not well) the company is doing at testing what it develops and modifies before final release. I would hazard a guess that there are no screen reader users involved with testing who work for the company. Perhaps RTD might amend its contract to make this a requirement in the future?
