I’am also soo glad and happy that we got the accessible prescription bill passed and, that next summer including myself and, many other of us who use prescription drugs here in the state of Colorado who are blind can use our meds independtally!!!</p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>This was a awesome surprise to see this email this morning. I can understand completely on dan that you were out of town due to your brother’s illness. Thanks to our sponsors, Sen. jessie Danielson and Reps. Daid Ortiz and Stephanie Vigil for being champions of this bill!</p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>Yes, HB24-1115 Prescription Label Accessibility passed as well. Thanks to our sponsors, Reps. mary Young and Junie Joseph and Sen. Steve Fenberg. Also, Jack Johnson, an attorney with Disability Law Colorado, helped shepherd this bill through. Now the state pharmacy board will work on the rules for implementing and complying with the bill. That can often prove to be more work than getting a bill passed. So, stay tuned, but also know that this bill will take effect July 1, 2025 and you will be able to request accessible labels for your prescriptions when you go to your local pharmacy.</p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>I was out of town and only in touch by email, sometimes phone, fo r the month of March because of my brother's illness.
