</o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--></head><body lang=EN-US link="#467886" vlink="#96607D" style='word-wrap:break-word'><div class=WordSection1><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Hi, all,<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>I just thought I’d update everyone on the discussion that took place last night at the RTD Board Meeting.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>I didn’t take copious notes, so if I miss anything, if anyone else heard it, by all means fill in the blanks.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Several board members, three or four, came out against limiting Access on Demand to the same area and hours as Access-a-Ride.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>One or two board members suggested that the trip limit should not be cut, and One or two objected to the higher $6.50 fare.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Other than that, they all seemed willing to vote for one of the recommended scenarios, though I could not get a read on which one board members would prefer.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>Overall, I was heartened by the opposition to restricting the area and hours, but beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>This means more advocacy at the June meeting, June 24, and at especially at the July 16 Operations, Safety, and Security Committee meeting, at which staff wants a vote to make a recommendation to the Board.
