She was born with Alstrom's Syndrome, an insidious condition that over the course of her 48 years caused the loss of her vision, hearing, kidney function, and finally her ability to breathe. Through it all she met the challenges with courage and determination. Our thanks to the NFB and the Colorado Center for the Blind for the guidance, support and understanding that allowed her to live a full and independent life. Our thanks also go to Wesley Jarboe, her husband and partner in life, who assisted her with handling her complex health situation in the last few years. A memorial service may be held in the future, but is not currently planned.<o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class="MsoNormal">Best Wishes.
