and,</span><o:p></o:p></p><p style='mso-margin-top-alt:13.1pt;margin-right:.05in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:.05in;line-height:13.9pt'><b>WHEREAS, </b>the white cane, which every blind citizen has the right to carry, serves as an instrument for independent travel and safety while also demonstrating and symbolizing the ability of blind people to achieve a full independent life, contribute to the community, travel independently, and work productively and competitively in the labor market; and,<o:p></o:p></p><p style='mso-margin-top-alt:13.5pt;margin-right:.05in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:.05in;line-height:13.9pt'><b>WHEREAS, </b>Colorado's White Cane Law provides equal access to public spaces and protection from discrimination based on blindness or low vision; and,<o:p></o:p></p><p style='mso-margin-top-alt:13.6pt;margin-right:.15in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:.05in;line-height:13.9pt'><b>WHEREAS, </b>Colorado law calls upon employers, both public and private, to be aware of and to utilize the employment skills of our blind citizens by recognizing their worth as individuals and their productive capacities;
