The board still has not seen a full analysis of what proposed cuts would mean for Access-a-Ride coverage. Demand that analysis before any vote is taken.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><span style='mso-ligatures:none'>Do not eliminate Access-on-Demand. It is the most cost-effective paratransit option RTD offers. Eliminating it would push riders to Access-a-Ride, which costs more and is already struggling with declining performance.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><span style='mso-ligatures:none'>Grandfather existing paratransit riders if service cuts shrink the eligibility area. People built their lives around their current eligibility. Losing it through no fault of their own is unacceptable.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><span style='mso-ligatures:none'>The ballot measure for new revenue needs to be treated as a serious priority. RTD will ask voters for money in 2028 -- do that as a healthy organization, not a diminished one.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><span style='mso-ligatures:none'>The $227 million in unrestricted reserves exists to bridge exactly this kind of gap while a permanent solution is pursued.<o:p></o:p></span></li></ul><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'><span style='mso-ligatures:none'>Remember, you’ll need to raise your Zoom hand in order for them to put you on the list to make public comment.
