Just wanted to give an update as to the status of where I am related to getting trips and events organized for those of us that responded to be included in the group. Firstly, it is exceptionally time-consuming for me to put all of this together, so please be patient as I do have a life outside of organizing events and have to do a lot of research related to upcoming events.<div>A quick SY, I am creating a separate Gmail email address that will be used to communicate with everybody that has responded. This way it stays within the group and does not get sent out to those that have no interest, etc. I will be doing this during the course of this week that we are currently in and will let everybody know to add the email address to their contacts and this will allow you to not only be able to respond directly to me, but also it will allow me to send out group emails to everybody within the group itself when it comes to an upcoming event. There will be no junk mail or anything like that so do not worry. This email is purely going to be used for events that we as a group will be doing.</div><div>I am thinking that initially it would be nice to have everybody meet up at a central location that is easy for everybody to reach within the Denver area. It would be very helpful if everyone could start thinking about suggestions for trips as well as answering some questions to make what we do very enjoyable for everybody. I will very likely be soon sending out an email from SurveyMonkey with a list of questions for everybody so that I get really good understanding of everyone's interests, limitations, and everything else related to doing these trips. When it gets a little cooler, it would be great that we were able to take organized day trips out to various locations around the Denver Metro area and beyond. I was thinking of places like Esther's Park where we could walk the towns Main Street sit by a river, stop for coffee, explore restaurants and whatever else there is to see. This is not the only place. I am just using it as an example. Additionally, we could organize events while the weather is so hot to go to places such as one of the reservoir beaches at Cherry Creek or Chatfield or wherever else.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"> <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto">I'm certain most of you will be able to understand the level of work involved in organizing something like this. Having arranged in excess of 500 events over the years before I went blind I have a lot of experience in event organization, and as a blind person, I have a lot of understanding of the fears and hesitations blind people may have related to doing something like this. As such, I would only look to do events in a very organized manner and would even need cited individuals to volunteer to assist. Transport is another option. We got to consider, and they are very many options related to this some of which will require much thought and will most likely also need everybody to input towards the cost of the Transport.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"> <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto">So, before I do any form of moving forward, I need everybody who has any interest to respond to this email. In the response, please give me your thoughts, questions, hesitation, or fear, factor, excitement for the event or whatever else it is you may be feeling in relation to doing something like this.
