[Community-service] Fwd: [nabs-l] O/T Hard times generation: homeless kids

I'd be up to it. What kind of project are we talking about? Care kits,
that we get local donations for, then have shipped directly to the
convention hotel and put together? That would probably be out of the
question, because of shipping costs and timing problems.
How about something like the snack packs that we do here in North
Carolina at the state convention, and the profits going to aid a local
shelter? Donations could be obtained and brought to convention, and
sold throughout the week, then we make a check out to the chosen
shelter or shelters. I could see this happening.
Or maybe an auction or raffle? Anyone have connections for auction or
raffle items? Again, the profit would be given to the shelter as a big
check, or maybe we could go to a local store with them and shop with
the kids in mind.
Just throwing some ideas out.
