Michelle,
I like your suggestion for a theme. It's about "hands on".

Wow, sounds like CPR training is really an entity unto itself. What if we
have a speaker from the Red Cross talking about volunteer opportunities this
year, and maybe next year they could offer CPR training workshops throughout
the convention? We could send out an announcement ahead of time saying that
space is limited and request that people register prior to the convention
for the workshops. That way we could limit the size of each workshop and be
pretty sure we were only getting people who are truly interested so the Red
Cross trainers would not be wasting their time standing around waiting for
people to show up.
Should we follow some kind of theme for our seminar? It seems that most of
our ideas are about helping other people, rather than things like cleaning
up parks, etc. Which is fine; there are so many opportunities out there, it
might actually be helpful to narrow our scope and focus on a theme, I don't
know, something like "Helping Hands Touching Lives". Okay, maybe that's a
little hokey, but I think you all get my drift.
What do you guys think, especially you Darian?
