[Community-service] Speakers/ National Organizations

That’s a great idea.
in the past people have come to us looking for ideas.
As we’ve not had the people power to move towards coordinated service efforts and could only offer personal experiences, we didn’t have too much to offer.
I think that once agencies become more familiar with us, and we develop a wealth of knowledge, we might move towards a guide; one that is consistent with the focused goals of the group.
We can easily share basic guides on how to put together a service project— those are already in existence), but how to disclose that your group is blind, or how to figure out when a group is turning you away due to your blindness, or how to work as a team with the various degrees of vision on that team, making sure all have true roles and responsibilities (making sure that vision means more or less work).. things like that… we have to get footing there.
Once the agencies start to recognize the the federation and the group, we can start to identify options for chapters and affiliates.
maybe we can start to develop this type of guide after National convention concert with the efforts of Michelle Mitchell’s resource and research committee?
