From time to time I hear from people who express interest in becoming more actively involved in what we do. Some want to have a supportive role in what is done, while others want a leadership position in The Community Service Division.
 If you are a person who are thinking of either of these things I hope you would strongly consider answering this call for convention planning. ., .

The NFB Community Service Division will be planning our activities for the 76th annual convention of the National Federation of the Blind.
   Among these activities is our annual seminar and business meeting scheduled for July 2 from 6:15 - 10 pm. and the Trivia Night from 9pm to midnight.
 If you are interested in planning what we do and how we do it, please e-mail me directly at president at nfbcommunityservice.org

  Thanks !
  Darian

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
 “We need your service, right now, at this moment - our moment - in history. I'm not going to tell you what your role should be; that's for you to discover. But I am going to ask you to play your part; ask you to stand up; ask you to put your foot firmly into the current of history” — Barack Obama
