I just wanted to give a few shout outs to some of our membership for some important things they are doing to help move the work of our division and thus the work of the federation along.
Dacia Cole has been taking on an important role as chair of our #nfb4mserve project. As many of you know, chairing a committee is a difficult job. Not many people want to do it, and fewer still do it well.
She has also gotten some lively discussion started on our list serve and has slowly contributed words of encouragement on our Facebook page.
Jonathan Franks and Libra Robinson have been sending us blog entries to be included on our page at www.nfbcommunityservice.org/blog <http://www.nfbcommunityservice.org/blog>.
I look forward to the people they will bring along to contribute to the blog.
Kyra Sweeney for taking on a larger role within our membership committee when leadership was called for.
Chris Parsons for taking on a vital role in maintaining our website, blog and twitter presences.
am I leaving someone out?
Thank you for what you do, and I look forward to more contributions from more people (I love bragging about our members!)

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
“We need your service, right now, at this moment - our moment - in history. I'm not going to tell you what your role should be; that's for you to discover. But I am going to ask you to play your part; ask you to stand up; ask you to put your foot firmly into the current of history” — Barack Obama
