[Community-service] Experiences with Employers Regarding Community Service

Hi Johna, 
Employers like when a new employee shows interest in doing community service. 
When I got hired by the county, I had my community service to show as work experience. I was volunteering at 3 places and they liked it. The day of my interview I was returning from one of my volunteer jobs and was late by a few minutes. The people interviewing me realized and were happy for my commitment. 
It also shows that one is helping others and is committed. As blind individuals we show that we are willing to work whether it pays or not.
