Tis’ the season to volunteer! Please join the Community Service Division in our “Gift of Service” challenge. For the next 12 days, we will spread joy and love, by sharing our membership community service. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. 

Time to jingle the bell!

I am a member and volunteer for Heightened Independence and Progress (H.I.P). In which I facilitate the Jersey City peer support group. I make calls to remind members of the meetings, and answer questions as well as provide consumers with information pertaining to their vision loss. I research topics and gather speakers for the support group. I also set up and direct the transportation for H.I.P consumers who attend the meetings. Most recently I assisted with the NFBNJ Bell Academy mentoring and tutoring program. The sky is the limit for me and I have every intent to reach it!
