[Community-Service] Let's Get to Know Kathy

Kathy Raynall is from Quincy, Illinois. This lover of volunteering has
helped people in so many ways and has accomplished a lot of feats. She
received a degree in English and a teaching certificate in secondary
education in 1969. She attended MacMurray college in Jacksonville,
Illinois and was a trustee of the college for twenty -four years.
whenever she could find a job, she taught English in rural Illinois.
In addition, she was a Substitute teacher in Jacksonville, Illinois
and taught at the Illinois School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Eventually, she worked for her husband’s landscaping business. She has
Served as an alderman in Illinois for four and a half years.
Her long relationship with the National Federation of the Blind began
in 1982; She was recruited by fellow members  of the organization
while attending a state convention in Illinois. She Has held almost
every position. She has served as president of her state affiliate
from 2002 to 2004. Because of her involvement with the Illinois
affiliate, its affiliate has had great leadership. In the past twenty
years, she has done a lot of fundraising for her  state affiliate.
She has participated in various fundraisers, such as Fifteen for
Funds. In addition, she was involved in her local Lions Club in
Chapain, Illinois. Currently, Kathy is working on forging a
partnership with the lions Club. She believes that tapping into one’s
resources and networking with organizations are a great way to give
back to, and forge relationships with, various communities.
