[Community-Service] I’m down with SOP!

What is SOP? Well, I thought you would never ask. SOP stands for Some Other Place, put their faith to work by way of providing services at no charge to the recipient. Some Other Place support comes from donations of time and money from the community. 

One service SOP provides is lunch everyday for anyone who walks through the door. I volunteered along with my colleagues and we prepared, cooked, clean, and served lunch to 150 beautiful individuals from all walks of life. Yes, my feet is still hurting but the experience was priceless. We sung oldies from gospel to rap. 😆 I know, what a combination. We dance and I cooked the best sweet and spicy 🌶️ OUTTA SIGHT corn 🌽 in the world according to the guest that we served. All my colleagues cooked a dish and we helped each other along the way. We laughed but trust me we worked. The pots were huge as if we were feeding an army. 

OMG! A lady with a white cane just walked in. Of course, I had to talk to her and found out that she was homeless. It was her smile of hope that blessed me.  She asked me for more bread for later so she walked away with three different types of bread to share with her friends. 

I am so grateful for SOP. They don’t ask any questions and they feed the guest like they are cooking for their own families. The main recipe that they add in all their meals is love.
