They were doing themselves, the community where they lived, , and the environment a wonderful service. The work is teedious and dirty, but it's a great way to do community service and show our communities that the blind are capable citizens and want to do their part to keep our communities clean and to prevent aluminum cans from ending up in area landfills.</span><br></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><span></span><br></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><span> Since blind and sighted individuals would be needed for such tasks as transporting the aluminum cans to collection facilities to be turned into cash this is a wonderful project for this division or a local chapter to undertake. I also did this for my volunteer position as an information and referral specialist. Most nonprofits I tried to work for were receptive to installing software.</span><br></blockquote></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><blockquote type="cite"><span>However, I was not able to work there because of the nature of tasks.
