<div>I sponsored an activity where blind students from across the state of Mississippi created cards of appreciation for the 2019 National Police Week. Braille and large print adorned the cards. They were also decorated. My reason for spearheading this activity was to offer the students an opportunity to utilize their creativity in expressing gratitude to people who serve in the community. It brought me great pride to see the words and warmth the students expressed in their cards. The cards were delivered to a local police department.<br></div>
