I am a mother of a beautiful teenage daughter. She has been my motivation to push past my challenges and barriers. I have been a servant most of my life. Serving the homeless as child at my church , to becoming homeless only to now serve the homeless at a new church. From abuse to advocating abused teenagers. I understand empathy, because I’ve been there! I can relate to trials and overcoming it all! </div><div><br></div><div>I became visually impaired in 2015, from a traumatic eye surgery. At the time I was in college studying for my bachelors in organizational Leadership. I lost my legal case against the surgeons and started my life adjustment through Associated Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, now called Vision link. I am now a part of the National Federation of the Blind of Pennsylvania Where I advocate for myself, other blind parents and individuals who are visually impaired/ blind or have children who are blind. I am a leader in my church where I organize events every other month to feed and serve the homeless. I am also a co-leader over the black history ministry. I am also in the Miss Blind Diva pageant to show the world that no matter your challenges, barriers, or life’s accidents you too can still live the life you want!
