<div>Thanks for asking that question. The state legislature's website states that SB939 is currently 'tabled for the Senate calendar'. Past experience tells us that it will be put on the calendar shortly. Once there, it can sit and be left to die at the end of the session, or it can be voted on. If the Senate passes the bill, it would then need to go the House calendar for the same process. We want to see this bill voted on and passed by both Houses prior to the end of session next Wednesday.</div>

Related to that resolution is a bill being considered by the State Legislature, SB939: An Act Concerning Revisions to Elections Related Statutes. Included in this bill are provisions that ensure that <U>all</U> voting systems are functioning, tested and ready for use prior to all elections. We are especially concerned with Sec. 52, Section 9-247.</FONT></DIV>
