<DIV>Thank you all for your feedback. It looks like I will be considering
purchasing another reader as my Victor Stream has been diagnosed with a
motherboard issue. It’s pretty upsetting given the initial cost of about
$350 for it and then had to purchase a new battery when it was about a year or
more old at $50 with a $20 shipping charge and we think it was 3 years ago on
Christmas that my husband gifted it to me.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Since I just spent nearly $700 in repair on a Braille Note, I’m miffed with
Humanware as a motherboard replacement repair is equal to buying a new unit or
damn close.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I do have a NLS reader so I’m not bookless, but I am disappointed the
Stream did not provide more bang for my buck.</DIV>
<DIV>I expected to get more life from it and I am not happy.</DIV>

<DIV>Looking at the Booksense with trepidation....</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>And, I am such an avid reader. I am sad I am losing the portability
of the Victor Stream- I did love it and enjoyed many hours of reading but I’m
indecisive about buying another unit too quickly.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Perhaps this is a matter of perspective. How long do any of you
expect your digital book reader to last? Does anyone think I am wrong for
expecting more? I considered today what the cost would have been had I
bought all the books I read over the last 3 years at the local store- what would
my cost be v. the digital reader cost using NLS books? But I just feel as if
these vendors have us right were they want us- needing them and it’s not a good
feeling. </DIV></DIV></DIV></BODY></HTML>
