Last year at this time, many of us were without electricity, recovering from the impact of a tropical storm. Just one month later, an October snowstorm left the state without power for days. President Obama has declared September as National Preparedness Month, and he is urging us all to be prepared for emergencies. In the email below are links to valuable information on how to get prepared and stay safe during and after a storm or other emergency. Please take a few minutes to review this now, while the sun is shining (actually it is raining right now). The time to take preparedness action is well before a disaster so that if the power goes out, you and your family will be able to weather the storm.
