usage of members contact information and conflict of interest<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>by the Presiden.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>First,your statement pertaining to
registering people with ITN is not and has never been the Volunteer
Coordinator’s responsibility<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>.
<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The Executive Director is
responsible for registration of individuals who are interested in receiving
transportation from ITN. I am aware of the job duties which are specified in the
job<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>description because I am
also a Volunteer Coordinator with The Independent Transportation Network of
Northcentral <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns =
"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Connecticut</st1:place></st1:State>. Based upon the above-mentioned
facts, there is no conflict of interest on the part of the President or me. .
<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>I also didn’t realize sharing
information with fellow Federationists<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>in northcentral <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Connecticut</st1:place></st1:State> constituted unethical behavior.
Denial of access to information about available<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>alternative transportation is unethical
because it is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Civil
Rights Act.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Since most
of the towns in northcentral <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Connecticut</st1:place></st1:State> are rural, it is imperative that
visually impaired/blind individuals and seniors who reside there<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>have access to <SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>information about alternative
transportation in order to live independently.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN></P>
