I reported to you that on May 1<SUP>st</SUP> the legislature’s Finance Committee removed part of a bill that would undo the law giving blind business people first right to operate a concession at a state park facility. However, the proposal has since been filed as an amendment to other bills still working their way through the process. This is possible under legislative rules. We cannot know ahead of time exactly when such an amendment will come up. People with blindness and their advocates who oppose this idea may still want to call your State Representative and State Senator to ask them to oppose the idea also. Many of you have already alerted your legislator to this issue with your previous calls
and e-mails. However, because of these efforts to revive the proposal, you may want to call or write again.</SPAN></DIV>
