But I must add this thought. Simply because it's easy to be passionate and wave the flag when you're a professional student and have the world at your feet. But for the average blind person who struggles just to survive you start to lose faith, and when life just keeps screwing you over and over, you find it difficult to keep your prospective I've been in the work force now from 1979 to 2011 at which time I have been slowly squeezed out of society to the point of complete and udder lack of self confidence. I have come to the realization that unless you can afford to pay the high price for transportation or could walk to where you
need to go, there's no sense going anywhere, this is what I'm faced with, no I'm not wining although I'm sure most of you may think I am. I'm simply facing the reality of what the real world is about.</SPAN></div>

If your affiliate is holding a party or activity in honor of Read Across America Day, please let us know! We'd love to get photos or videos of your celebration. We're also asking that everyone send us a photo or video of someone reading Braille. We're especially eager to see people reading Braille near a famous landmark, so we can really show that Braille is being used all across the country! (Of course, we understand that in many parts of the country, those landmarks are obscured by snow!) <BR><BR>
