<DIV>I am on the hunt for the perfect Braille paper to use for transcribing my 

music scores for the Mystic River Chorale. Currently, I’m using American 

Thermoform paper, but it is my second choice, since it isn’t as durable as what 

I really like, and, when I draw symbols through the underside of the shets with 

a pencil stylus, it is hard to control. What I really loved was the 

PermaNotebook paper that used to be available through ILA, but after extensive 

Internet search, am turning up nothing. It was a very smooth, probably shiny (as 

opposed to matte) surface, and the pencil stylus was much more controlable on 

it; plus, it kept the dots better. Anyone have ideas for me? Even if I obtained 

it from an individual who had extra that they don’t want, that would also work. 

If there’s something in the “sighted world” that would also work, I’m also in. I 

also did try a thicker version of American Thermoform paper, but had the same 

problem with its grainy texture as I did with the regular thickness—I really 

have my heart set on the smoothness of the PermaNotebook stuff. Thanks!</DIV>
