</span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">We need a block of lodging rooms for
Friday & Saturday nights for our members and guests, probably 20 – 30 rooms. We like to keep around $90 per night.</span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>The hotel needs to have a restaurant
for Friday night and those who want a full breakfast on Saturday morning or
lunch before they leave on Sunday. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>We need continental breakfast and lunch
on Saturday for about 75-90 people. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Meal prices are a consideration also.
Some of the best hotel deals are not such good deals because their meals are
even more exorbitant than is usual. Ultimately, that extra cost is passed on to
the affiliate.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>There will need to be a classroom-style
meeting space for 90 for Saturday from 9-5. If we decide to do another vendor
fair, hotel staff will need to be able to transform room during our lunch. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>We will most likely need another
conference room for division meetings; preferably for free.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>The banquet is usually about 75-90 people
and lasts from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>The other thing to keep in mind is the
rental cost of the meeting rooms. Ideally, we look for hotels who will waive
those charges because we have meals at the hotel. These charges can easily add
up to $3K more to our bill. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Sunday morning breakfast for 40 or so,
& a meeting space till noon. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Shuttle service from the local train
station and airport would be good also. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span>·<span>
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Another thing to make clear from the
beginning is that we have quite a few members with guide dogs and will require
a relief area.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div>

<div style="white-space:pre-wrap">I liked the hotel that we used for the 2016 convention. If anyone is interested in getting bids for other hotels this would be very helpful to the convention Committee. We need all bids before our January meeting. If you would like our convention in your area of the state now is your chance. The person who finds the winning bid for the convention will WIN A FREE CONVENTION. This includes free registration and free hotel accommodations for two nights. This does not include transpiration, or any other expenses, such as room service.
