The Birdies for Charity program provides 501(c)(3) organizations in Connecticut the opportunity to raise funds. We’re hoping that not only will you participate this year, but also ask family, friends, coworkers, and others to participate also. This year, each organization that raises money through Birdies for Charity will receive a 15% bonus on top of the pledges collected. This 15% presents an excellent opportunity for raising extra funds for our organization! The Travelers Championship will donate this 115% of the proceeds to our organization; there is no administrative costs involved.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span> </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span> There are two donation options: (1) by pledging an amount per birdie made by PGA TOUR professionals during the tournament, or (2) by a flat donation. All per-birdie and flat donations will be accepted through 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 25, 2017. The NFB of CT has ten passes that are good for any one day of the Travelers Championship (June 19-25). We will be awarding two of these passes to each of our top 5 donors!<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span> </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span> If you make a per-birdie-pledge, at the conclusion of the tournament, the Travelers Championship will calculate a donation amount based on the number of birdies made and then distribute invoices to each of our donors. For example, if an individual makes a $.02 pledge and there are 1,800 birdies made, then that individual will be asked to make a donation of $36.00 to the National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span> </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span> If you offer a flat donation and you provide a credit card, your pledge will be charged immediately. Or, you can opt to have a flat–rate donation invoice sent at the conclusion of the tournament.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span> </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"> Your pledge commitment to The National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut will help to fund programs to enrich the lives of blind people in Connecticut.
