When I was appointed as secretary by Maryanne last year after the position became unexpectedly vacant, I was not informed that this was a requirement. Through my training in college and the workplace, and through multiple secretary positions with the NFB , I was never criticized for this. In fact, I was told that this style makes my minutes much less cluttered, because it gets to the point. Perhaps you should develop training? </div><div>I feel as though I gave a lot to the CT affiliate, and I was never thanked for it. I was only lashed out at on the list serve for something that, quite frankly, occurred about 5 months ago, and heard nothing about privately. Few people have the patience to pay wrapped attention for a three hour meeting. I am concerned that the minutes do not document who called the meeting to order, or ended it. Additionally, most of the comments and statements listed in the minutes are not provided with the context of who made the statements or commented. Minutes are supposed to be documenting what is said, and by whom.
