Gregory Paul, C.P. In addition to ministering at the Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center in West Hartford, he was known by many NFB members as a priest who ministered to Dr. Kenneth Jernigan near the time of his passing and to his wife, as an offerer of invocations at NFB National Conventions, as the celebrant of many Roman Catholic Masses at National Conventions, and as a dedicated shepherd who believed deeply in the capacity and capabilities of blind people. Forwarded is the announcement from the retreat center where he worked for over 15 years and from which he entered as much retirement as he wanted. The funeral will be tomorrow morning at 11:00 at the retreat center; it will also be livestreamed, and a link is provided.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Here in Connecticut, our NFB affiliate also hosted Fr. Gregory Paul at at least one of our state conventions—at which he also gave an invocation. And I can attest that he was a diligent recruiter of blind people that he met to the Federation. I—and many times my wife—regularly attended events at the retreat center; though he may not have recognized me—or us—as having met before, when he saw our white canes he always asked if we had heard of the National Federation of the Blind. Gregory will be buried in the Passionist cemetery here on our grounds.
