It is a beautiful space and a recent visit there with our 10 year old twin granddaughters was enjoyable. It was accessible for me as the remote comes with two types of audio description And one is for the visually impaired giving you more than just what’s happening during each scene in the village by also what a sighted person is seeing. In the other areas of the museum that do not have this audio description there are a couple of mini theaters you can go into and sit down and listen to a video on a particular aspect of Their culture. Currently, the only tactile items are pelts from the different animals that were hunted. The newly installed surface on the outside terrace on the upper floor is very cane friendly and there are new grooves to get stuck in. We met a Native American young man who was born blind and volunteers twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays. His name is Mike DAGGETT. He is going to try to attend our state convention in New London.

Sent from my iPhone
_______________________________________________
CT-NFB mailing list
CT-NFB@nfbnet.org
http://nfbnet.org/mailman/listinfo/ct-nfb_nfbnet.org
To unsubscribe, change your list options or get your account info for CT-NFB:
http://nfbnet.org/mailman/options/ct-nfb_nfbnet.org/elevegnale%40sbcglobal.net
