Fellow Federationists:
First, I just want to say that I would love, love, love to be on this committee. We need representation on this committee, but we also need to make darn sure that our voices are heard by the committee.
I plan to submit written testimony via the link already provided to us, and I will be happy to share that testimony with anyone here who wants to do the same.
In addition to anything else that comes up on tonight’s student division call, I will focus most heavily on the need for adequate rehabilitation training and the need to eradicate subminimum-wage work environments.
If you need any help formulating testimony to submit, please do give me a call: 860-989-7865.
Yours,
Justin Salisbury

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Also added to the revised announcement below is a request that if you need an accommodation to participate in the hearing that you submit that request to Lewis Letang at lewis.letang at ct.gov<mailto:lewis.letang at ct.gov> by this Friday, August 7th. Thank you.

INVITES THE PUBLIC TO A HEARING
August 13, 2015 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
RIVER ROOM • GOODWIN COLLEGE
195 Riverside Drive, East Hartford, Connecticut
This will be a public discussion concerning the opportunities, obstacles and challenges that persons with disabilities face in both public and private employment today.
Participants are encouraged to keep their comments to no more than four minutes so that we may hear from everyone who would like to speak. Written testimony will be accepted in addition to, or in lieu of, any oral testimony.
Attendees should be mindful that persons with disabilities will be in attendance, including those with chemical sensitivities, and should plan accordingly.
If you are planning on attending the hearing or if you require an accommodation, we ask you to RSVP by Friday, August 7th to Lewis Letang at (860) 263-6573 or E-mail Lewis.Letang at ct.gov<mailto:Lewis.Letang at ct.gov>.
