I don’t know. I just bring it up because over the phone ain’t the same as being with actual flesh bone and blood people. That’s whyb it’s so cool to go to national. I got to put an actual person to names and voices. I got to meet some of the FS guys I only had heard on MP3. So yeah, that’s more my point.

Great point, Hamit.

Massachusetts started doing socials, and that helped a lot. One of the challenges that we have been facing is that some of our leaders aren’t physically in Connecticut for much of the year. Do you think you would be interested in putting together some socials?

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Thanks. I also meant to bring up on the last call too bad we don't have actual meetings. So they can neet people for real right from the get go. But yeah, it's just exposure. Like I said, I just found out about the NFB because of the trip to the science museam.

Hey Hamit,

I’m glad you’re paying attention! Massachusetts just didn’t do a whole lot in the form of a written recruitment effort. It was a minimal email with the scholarship application, and then follow-up phone calls were made. It may be that the minimalist structure is what we need. It probably wouldn’t hurt us to spruce up old flyers that we have used, though, and have them for those who actually read flyers.

I am about to send out a batch of old advertising materials that some of us may recognize from a past life.

Regardless of how we develop that brochure/flyer/advertisement, we also ought to follow through on the plan to have a standard letter. Our affiliate president has decided he wants a bite of this apple, so he will be sending me some bullet points to include soon.

In light of these new developments, let’s now shoot to have this language pinned down by the end of this week.

Thanks for all you do for us! You’d make a great addition to the LCB student body if you do decide to come here.

Take care,

Justin

Wait what? Then what did they do then?

Just a quick update to everyone

It turns out that the potential letter that Massachusetts used to generate success did not exist. The success is still real, just to be clear.

Tomorrow, Monday, I plan to look into The materials we used in years past and will draft something to send to everyone.

Have a good night!
