Dear Friends,

I am thrilled to hear of the progress that Maryanne, Beth, and Barb made at the public hearing today! They really represented us well!

Maryanne got to talk personally with State Senator Crisco (D), and he took a real interest in our case. It would be a great thing for our members to contact him to let him know how much we care and appreciate his attention to our need to remove guide dogs from the bill.

Here’s his contact information:

Committees often consider testimony that comes in right after the hearing, too. If you want to squeeze in a quick testimony, all we really need now is to show them that a large number of our people care. We’ve already articulated the hard points, so please don’t sit this one out. To submit a written testimony on Raised Bill 35, send it via email to:

It’s all about the FUN words: funding and function. They have a long-standing and effective funding model which should not be disturbed, and they do not serve us any medical function.
Let’s get guide dogs taken out of Raised Bill 35!
