The Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind has extended that job
announcement for 3 teachers of blind students located throughout our state!
It now closes January 5. Importantly, note that these can be filled by
someone still studying to become a TVI and can begin working while finishing
the TVI university program. If you are interested or have any questions,
please reach out! Finally, even if you aren't yourself going to apply,
please pass this announcement along widely throughout your networks. Let's

I'm excited to share a rewarding job opportunity with the State of
Connecticut for certified Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) or those
currently enrolled in Vision Studies programs. The Department of Aging and
Disability Services (ADS) is hiring for Education Consultant 1 positions
within the Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind (BESB). 

 

This is a unique chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students
with visual impairments through specialized instruction, collaboration, and
advocacy across Connecticut.

 

Position Highlights:

*	Full-time, 35 hours/week (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:15 PM)
*	Hybrid work environment with statewide travel
*	Openings in Norwalk, Litchfield, and Tolland
*	Instruction in Braille, assistive technology, and Expanded Core
Curriculum (ECC)
*	Collaboration with families, schools, and service providers
