I was diagnosed with diabetes last September.  I have had a couple of
follow-up visits with my primary care doctor since, and have a third
scheduled on the 28th of April.

How often should I have my blood cholesterol and triglycerides checked? 
My
doctor hasn't said a thing about it, and I certainly don't want to be 
stupid
about these things.  Thanks.
