Strickly if it was me, I would take one of my Bounty paper towels and wet  it 
and then squeeze it out so it was only damp and wipe off the  meter.  I would 
let it sit out and dry before I put it back in the  pouch.
 
Now remember I said squeezxe out the paper towel so it is damp and not  
dripping water.  That is what I would do.
