Eileen,

It would be fine to use that as well to wipe down the meter but again,
you need to be cautious of getting any liquid on an in the internal
components as this will render the meter in-operable.

Would it be okay to use one of those pre-moistened wipes, like a Clorox
or 
Lysol brand?  Just wondering, I keep them  in the house and they have 
cleaning solution already on them without going over-board.  Just
wondering
