[Diabetes-talk] DAN pins, etc

Hi Diane,
I apologize for the late response. I was out of town for all of last week
and my inbox got overwhelmed with messages from all the NFB lists I'm on
<smile>. I think I have finally read most, if not all of the messages that
came in over the last couple of weeks.
I'm not exactly sure how many pins we might need yet. I'll bring this to the
attention of our NFB chapter at this month's meeting to see if anyone
besides myself might be interested in a DAN pin.
I live in Largo Florida, a city of about 75,000. We are located between St.
Petersburg and Clearwater Florida on the west coast of the state. In fact,
our county is surrounded on three sides by water. We are basically a
peninsula on a peninsula.
I thought I had saved a message from you that described the pins, but I
haven't been able to find it. So, can you give me a description of what the
pins look like?
Also, I was wondering if you make any other types of pins? Would you be able
to make a pin that I could present to the Florida Association of Guide Dog
Users to be sold as a fund raiser for the division? We are a part of NAGDU,
but on the state level.
Thanks again for the pin information.
Have a great week,
Dave

Howdy Dave!
Thank you for all of the incredible input!!!
My Mom has been known to try and count out the carbs in the glucose tablets
so she isn't giving me too much when she has found me barely conscious. (Of
course you are very irritable when that happens and I know I have snapped
at her "just give me the whole bottle." 15 doesn't do it for me!
As far as the pins, there is no minimum amount you need to buy before I
ship.
I guess by your address that you are in Florida.
How many would you like? I can always make more!
Have you seen them yet?
(So many questions!)
And, for all you other members of this list, get em' while they're HOT! DANS
own brailed ceramic pin ! You don't have to go to convention to get em,
just ask me!
But, you won't want to be left out by not having one to wear at convention.
Pre convention price (from now until convention) is $3 each , of which $1
will be donated to DAN. This price is a steal once you see all of the
incredible hand made BRAILLED detail on each pin. Just ask anyone who has
one!
Thank you!!!
Diane
