Hi, Paul.  I smile at you because my Anniversary will soon arrive on October 
1, 2009.  I'm experiencing similar problems in that when I put my test 
strips in, I'm getting slower responses.

I wish you well, and if you need someone to talk with who is as much a 
newbie as you feel free to get in touch.
