[Diabetes-talk] Lantis More Than Once-A-Day?

Hi All,

Someone mentioned something to me this afternoon, which
I hadn't heard of as a possibility before. This woman
said her husband was taking Lantis twice a day and it
really helped his blood sugar levels, as opposed to
when he was taking it once a day. He doesn't take it
at all now, since he got a kidney/pancreas transplant a
couple years ago. But I'm taking Lantis and Humalog
right now. Lantis once a day, Humalog 2 or 3 times.
Does anyone know about this situation with Lantis? My
doc, who is a general practitioner and not a
specialist, said Lantis was a once-a-day, 24-hour
insulin. So if I was to possibly start taking it
twice, I assume for now I'd take less each time? No
worries. I won't do anything without bringing it to
the doc first. I'm just curious. ;-)

Thanks for any feedback.

Strive On,
Everett
