Hi, welcome to the list. Here are a lot of opportunities to learn a lot of
things as we all learn to cope with diabetes.
Like you, I was diagnosed with typee 2 in September, but my journey began
some 3 years ago, I think.
As questions come up, I hope you can feel free to ask, but, I believe that
in this walk, we're all learners.
Here's wishing you the very best.
Paul

Hello, all,
I have just joined this list and have read a year or so of the list
archives. I am a new diabetic, just diagnosed with type 2 in September,
but I have been blind all my life. My particular interest right now is
with testing and the meter, as this seems to be the basis for arranging
everything else. I test and then decide what the upcoming meal will be
on the basis of this. Is that right?
I must tell you that I am in Albania right now, though I am an
American. I got sick here and went to the hospital, and that's where I
got my diagnosis. Hardly anyone has a meter or tests here. They seem to
live in blissful ignorance and then get either good news or the shock
of their lives when they go to the doctor. I think testing is the way
to go, however.
I have more specific questions but will ask them in separate messages
with appropriate subject lines. I just want to say that I'm happy to be
aboard, that I look forward to learning a lot from this list and have
already done so from reading the archives.
