[Diabetes-talk] Are All Lancets Created Equal?

I also actually change out my lancetts each time. Sometimes I end up 
doing 5 sticks or so per test and that's enough for me. Plus the 
point isn't really covered if left in the lancing device. I was told 
that as those points get dull, they can hurt more. That was the 
answer for me. <grin.> Having said that, man! On the insulin-pumpers 
list, most of them have lancett changing day once a month. No way! I 
count it as one of my blessings that at least at this moment in time, 
I'm not so broke that I can't afford stabbers!
The brand I use, BD Ultra Fine 2, comes with a cap which is really 
easy to put back on after you use it. I like this for disposal 
purposes, especially when I'm traveling and keep them in a temporary 
container of some sort before transferring to my sharps container at home.
