[Diabetes-talk] Denied my insulin from HIP today

no they have them and no I totally understood the person at hip, they want me to use a different drug all together, unless, the dr calls in to over ride it.

Being a medical insurance specialist as well as owning my own travel agency. I am aware of the practice, make sure by calling the product maker of your drugs or insulin to make sure that the item is still being made.

I don't like the fact, that they are telling me that I no longer can have my insulin pens and that I have to use the vials. Lantus Solostar isn't going anywhere, so no the item is still be sold.

The biggest compliment you can pay me is to recommend my services!

  Are you sure that they won't be covering them because they aren't
  going to be making them anymore?  I got a notice from CVS, and regular
  Humalog pens will no longer be available as of January 1.  I talked to
  my pharmacist, though, and they are coming out with something called
  Quick pens.  It's just a matter of getting a new prescription from the
  doctor.  I'm not sure if this is the case with you, but I'm pretty
  sure my insurance company will still cover these.  If not, I'll go
  back to drawing up my own doses with bottle, syringe,and measuring
  strips.
