Hey Gang:
Let me tip ya off to something we do with our Greater Baltimore Chapter of
NFBMD. At the beginning of the meeting, after introductions, our president
actually has a time slot for people to announce joys/sorrows. Then we allow
for a moment of silence. I see this as a take-off of that. This is just
one more way to be in support of our membership to acknowledge their grief
and feelings as members as well. It may have nothing to do with diabetes
itself. however, I think it's very healthy and important that we give our
members a chance to express happiness and sorrow and be in support, whether
it's grief or celebration. That's it gang. Nothing more, nothing less. If
we are the family we claim to be, I don't think that gesture of love is too
much to ask?
