I am in Atlanta Georgia and our next event is going to be our second annual Mr. and Mrs. NFB Crowning Ceremony in March. Last year we raised over 7 thousand dollars for our 1 year old chapter. Please all feel free to call me at 770.331.8006 as not to clutter the list with non-diabetic issues. Below is a sample of the post that will go out to our network of publishers

* New Information: The Diabetic Action Network of the National Federation of the Blind is now in Georgia in a major way. You are no good to us dead and if you are a diabetic that wants to greatly improve your quality of life then this wealth of information, empowerment, and resources is for you. Join us via phone Monday October 4th at 9PM as we form what will soon be the most powerful network of blind and sighted diabetics in Georgia. The dial in number is 712.432.0190 and the access code is 732659. The call will last approximately 30 minutes. For more information on the Diabetes Action Network (DAN) visit us on the web at http://www.nfb.org/nfb/diabetics.asp or call President VaShaun Jones at (678)603-4881.

> Sorry, I did not see your response before sending my previous e-mail. I would like to attend your conference call. Please send me the information. I or someone else in TN might like to attend one of your events if you don't mind. You would also be welcome to attend our seminar and I'm sure anything else we do. I'm in Nashville and transportation to Atlanta is no problem. Beyond Atlanta would probably require a driver though. Where are you? I like your theme.

I am just getting started and haven't really done anything but gather people. I will have a conference call next Monday to introduce it to the masses. If you'd like to be on it I would forward you the information. I am interested in speaking to someone asap to see what your best practices are and how to improve the education in Georgia.
