[Diabetes-talk] first independent reading

A few minutes ago, I tried a finger stick and this time got a reading of 
99.  I used the side of the right ring finger and had to hold the rounded 
end of the strip in the area of the stick for about a minute and held the 
strip so it angled down at the floor about 65 degrees.  The fact that I 
even got the reading this morning at all was a surprise after so many 
failures.
